If bio fuel is created from grain or corn, it seems to me very unethical given the hunger that is still wide-spread across the world. The bio fuel with a future however is gas from manure and compost where it is a byproduct.

That article also outlines what I've seen in TV reports: that countries like Egypt no longer have sufficient grain for their own people because farmers changed to cash crops like soya and cotton. Now they have to import grain again to much higher prices - crazy! Local farming must make a come-back.
